Our Doctors

Lavanya Sithanandam, M.D.

Dr. Lavanya Sithanandam is the Medical Director of Takoma Park Travel Clinic. She graduated from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois and completed her pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She is certified to practice travel medicine and specializes in pediatric travel medicine. She is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine. Dr. Sithanandam is fluent in Spanish and resides in Chevy Chase, MD with her husband and two sons.

Sith Sadhasivam, M.D.

Dr. Sith Sadhasivam is a board certified pediatrician as well as a specialist in neonatal intensive care. He has been practicing travel medicine for over 10 years, helping families to travel safely to countries around the world. Dr. Sadhasivam is an avid traveler and has visited over 50 countries! Dr. Sadhasivam lives in Potomac, MD with his wife.

Lisa Boynes-Sindass, M.D.

Dr. Lisa Boynes-Sindass has been practicing pediatrics in Maryland/DC area for several years since the completion of her pediatric training. Dr. Sindass was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in southern New Jersey. She attended Howard University, where she obtained her B.S. degree and went on to Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee where she obtained her medical degree. She returned to Washington, D.C. to complete her residency training at Howard University Hospital. During her years of experience she has worked as a pediatric hospitalist and ER physician for University of Maryland Medical system and as a general pediatrician in Prince Georges and Montgomery counties, serving under-served populations where she learned a great deal of Spanish. Dr. Sindass loves to travel with her family, through the eyes of her patients, and to her yoga class. Dr. Sindass is married and has a beautiful daughter.
